For decades we have carefully built our herds and managed our lands to provide the best environment for our animals. This list of species is an overview, availability is heavily dependent on herd size and animal growth.

Final price per animal will be quoted by your guide before you shoot; no surprises!

African Zebu Cattle

African Zebu, a humped cattle breed, are resilient animals valued for their cultural significance and lean meat. At RHR, they offer a unique hunting experience, blending tradition with adventure. Their distinctive humps and varied coat colors make them a striking addition to the ranch’s exotics.

Hog

Hog hunting is one of our most sought-after experiences, thanks to the abundant wild hog population thriving across our expansive property. With over 10 miles of perimeter border encompassing hardwood hammocks, food plots, and upland pine forests, our ranch offers prime terrain for pursuing these elusive and challenging game animals.

Elk

$6,900 and up

Elk, native to North America, are large deer with massive, branching antlers and a commanding presence, standing up to 5 feet at the shoulder. At RHR, their speed (up to 35 mph) and elusive nature make them a thrilling hunt. Trophy bulls are prized for their antlers and rich venison.

Osceola Turkey

$4000 and up

Our Osceola turkey hunts at Ross Hammock Ranch are legendary, drawing such high demand that we turn away at least 100 requests annually. Conducted on our expansive property or neighboring leases, these hunts target the elusive Osceola turkey during the mid-March to late-April season, offering near-100% sighting opportunities under the guidance of our expert team. 

Sika Deer

$5,000 and up

Sika Deer, native to East Asia, are smaller deer with spotted coats and antlers typically featuring three to four points. At RHR, their elusive nature and adaptability to varied terrains make them a favorite for bow and rifle hunters alike. Their unique vocalizations add excitement to the hunt.

Red Stag

$4,500 and up

Red Stags, native to Europe, are majestic deer with towering, multi-pointed antlers that can exceed 300 inches in trophy specimens. Their deep, reddish-brown coats and commanding presence make them a premier exotic hunt at RHR. The rut in October brings out their most impressive displays.

Bison

$6,000 and up

American Bison, iconic symbols of the American West, are massive, weighing up to 2,200 pounds, with short, curved horns. At RHR, hunting these formidable animals offers an exhilarating challenge and a nod to frontier heritage. Their meat and hides are highly valued.

Axis Deer

(Trophy Bucks) – $4,900 and up

Axis Deer, or chital, are stunning with their reddish-brown coats adorned with white spots and elegant, three-point antlers reaching up to 40 inches. Native to the Indian subcontinent, they’re a favorite at RHR for their beauty and challenging elusive nature. Trophy bucks are prized for their impressive racks and delicious venison.

Aoudad Ram

$3,900 and up

Aoudad Rams, native to North Africa, are rugged, agile sheep with thick, curved horns and long, flowing chaps on their forelegs. Known for their elusive nature, they provide a challenging and rewarding hunt across RHR’s diverse terrain. Their striking appearance makes them a coveted trophy.

Alligator

Florida Gator Agent Hunt License: Approx. $55/hunter, purchased upon arrival. Optional on-site taxidermy, meat processing, and shipping services available. Our alligator hunts at Ross Hammock Ranch are an exhilarating off-site adventure, just a two-hour drive from the ranch, in an area teeming with abundant gators.

Wildabeest

Blue Wildebeest, native to Southern Africa, are known for their ox-like forequarters, antelope hindquarters, and erratic behavior, making them a thrilling hunt at RHR. Their dark, brindled coats and curved horns add to their distinctive appeal. They’re a challenging target due to their keen senses and unpredictable movements.

Waterbuck

$8,500 and up

Waterbucks, native to Africa, are robust antelopes with shaggy coats and curved horns averaging 23-27 inches, distinguished by a white ring on their rump. At RHR, they thrive near wetlands, offering a unique hunt with their wary nature and impressive size. Their trophy horns are a striking addition to any collection.

Pere David

$5,000 – $9,000 and up

Père David’s Deer is a rare species native to China’s river valleys, characterized by its unique antlers and wetland grazing habits. Once nearly extinct, it thrives at RHR, offering a prestigious trophy for hunters. Its distinctive appearance and conservation story make it a remarkable addition to any hunt.

Rams & Goats

 (Corsican, Texas Dall, Mouflon) $1,495-$2,995 and up

RHR offers a variety of rams and goats, including Corsican, Texas Dall, and Mouflon, each with unique horn configurations and coat colors. These hardy animals provide diverse hunting experiences, from the spiraled horns of Texas Dall to the rugged Mouflon’s curved horns. They’re ideal for hunters seeking distinctive trophies.

Fallow Deer

$4,500 and up

Fallow Deer, originating from Europe, are known for their palm-shaped antlers and variable coat colors—spotted, chocolate, or white. At RHR, they’re prized for their striking appearance and adaptability, making them a rewarding hunt year-round. Trophy bucks are especially sought after during the September-October rut.

Watusi Cattle

$5,000 and up

Watusi Cattle, native to Africa, are renowned for their enormous, thick horns, which can span up to 8 feet and are used for thermoregulation. At RHR, their striking appearance and low-fat meat make them a unique and exciting hunt. They’re a standout exotic for their cultural and visual impact.

Water Buffalo

Water Buffalo, native to Asia, are imposing animals with sweeping, curved horns and a weight of up to 1,500 pounds, known for their strength and occasional unpredictability. At RHR, they provide a thrilling hunt in wetland areas, with their size making them a prestigious trophy. Their meat is lean and flavorful.

Scimitar Horned Oryx

$5,900 – $9,000 and up

Scimitar-Horned Oryx, once extinct in the wild, are elegant antelopes from North Africa with long, backward-curving horns reaching up to 36 inches. Eland

Black Buck

$4,000 and up

Blackbuck Antelope, native to India, are renowned for their striking black-and- white coats and long, spiraled horns that can reach 28 inches. Their incredible speed, up to 50 mph, makes them a thrilling chase at RHR. They’re a top exotic choice for their beauty and agility.

Springbok

$7,950 and up

Springboks, iconic South African antelopes, are known for their graceful leaps (pronking) and lyre-shaped horns.
